What happens inside the piano to produce sound is often a mystery to our clients. And many do not understand the relationship between a piano tuning and the internal piano parts. Most are surprised to learn that pianos can have as many as 10,000-12,000 parts.
Here at Janssen Piano Services we believe that informed clients enjoy their piano more when they understand the beautiful intricacies of the piano’s mechanics and those relationships. They are better able to describe problems when they know terminology used by the piano tuner. And they tend to take better care of their instruments, avoiding costly repairs. That is why we developed our quarterly newsletter. It is short and to the point. We address many piano related topics but focus on issues in which clients have expressed an interest.
