Piano Teachers

Research shows that children with a music education tend to develop skills which make them more successful in life: self-discipline, patience, sensitivity, coordination, ability to memorize and to concentrate. One study found that music education, specifically piano instruction in pre-schoolers, produces changes in the brain which enhance abstract reasoning skills, important for learning mathematics and science.

And it doesn’t stop there. A study cited in the Aprill 11, 2011 Science Daily says that childhood music lessons may provide a lifelong boost in brain functioning. Studies of healthy 60-83 year old subjects showed that those with music education performed better on several cognitive tests. So the payoff lasts for a long, long time.

To support the student pianist, it is important to keep your piano in tune and in repair. Out of tune pianos, missing or sticking keys, broken strings, strange buzzing or clicking sounds, heavy touch, all make the piano less fun to play and may discourage your student pianist.

We tune the pianos of many piano teachers. And we also hear feedback from our clients on the best teachers. We are happy to list some of those on our website:
